The Golden Slipper for extraordinary contributions to cinematography for children and youth
2. 6. 2016Dagmar Havlová Veškrnová was awarded the Golden Slipper for extraordinary contributions
to cinematography for children and youth this year at the 56 th Zlín Film Festival.
Apart from her profession of actress, Ms Havlová also donates her time and efforts to charity
projects in her own VIZE 97 Foundation, but also in other organisations. And since it has
become a tradition that the Zlín Film Festival hosts the Film Clapperboards Salon, a charity
supporting young film talents, Ms Havlová has also been involved in this initiative.
She designed her own clapperboard that was literally called “One wheel too many”.
The collection of clapperboards is currently touring the Czech Republic, but during the
festival in Zlín the clapperboards will be sold at auction and the proceeds will help young film
makers develop their skills and projects.
