The magnum opus of the Czech realism addressing the theme of a conflict between social prejudices and human passion has the magnitude of a classical tragedy. <em>\u2018Jej\u00ed pastorky\u0148a\u2019<\/em> also came to fame thanks to an operatic version by <strong>Leo\u0161 Jan\u00e1\u010dek<\/strong> under the title <em>\u2018Jen\u016ffa\u2019<\/em>. The production at Divadlo na Vinohradech was directed by <strong>Martin Franti\u0161\u00e1k<\/strong>.
